Welcome to another issue of "Is It an Emergency?" — the place where healthcare workers come together to share the wildest, most WTF moments from the ER.

Today's topic: Dumb Things Husbands Do. We've all seen our fair share of husbands who think they're being helpful but end up making everything worse. From offering "medical advice" to their wives during labor to completely missing the point of why they're in the ER in the first place. But hey, at least they provide us with some unforgettable stories!

Doing a pelvic on a super high woman with pouring vagina discharge and asking how long it had been there, to which she only moaned unintelligibly, when her helpful husband piped up and said “she’s tasted kinda tangy for about a week or so now!”

The Vibrator vs. Marriage Dilemma 🫨

A 58 year old man came in with a vibrator stuck up his ass at 2 in the morning. After checking in he hobbled back to their assigned room with a nurse helping them. He proceeded to rant about how he can’t have any scans or anything because he doesn’t want his wife knowing. And then started rambling about how she doesn’t have the same libido as him and how he loves her and everything else has been perfect the last 34 years of marriage but he might need to divorce her. After being informed we couldn’t do anything with out a proper work up and imagining he got angry and hobbled out.

Husband With a Tantrum 🤬

Administrative assistant went for surgery. Surgical nurse tried to give patient's husband an update when the procedure started. Phone number supplied didn't work. Patient's husband upset no one let him know patient made it to recovery. Husband demanded to speak with charge nurse. Husband spoke to charge nurse and was still upset and went outside. Husband called in the hospital to talk to charge nurse again and demanded that she go outside to apologize to him. Charge nurse refused to meet him in the parking lot but assured him his wife was ok. Husband started cussing and hitting other cars. Security was called.
